National Honor Guard Commanders Association
Mission Statement

The mission of the National Honor Guard Commanders Association is to establish a group of Honor Guard Commanders nationwide, who will share information and experiences in order to make us stronger leaders and more knowledgeable in what we do.

We will work to ensure that our fellow firefighters who have either died in the line of duty or who have died after a lifetime of serving their communities are honored and remembered. In addition to this, we will provide comfort and support to the families of these firefighters and ensure that their sacrifices are always remembered.

We will not only provide support to our own fire service organizations, but we will reach out to the entire fire service to offer resources and support to those in need.

Please feel free to contact us if you would either like additional information about the NHGCA, or have comments. We would welcome any information or resources that you could share
that would be of assistance to other honor guards.

National EMS Memorial Service

The 18th annual National EMS Memorial Service honoring Emergency Medial Service personnel that have died in the Line-of-Duty, will be held in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 26, 2010. Click here for more details.
While the organizational structure of the NHGCA was established for the Fire service, we felt that by adding unit listings and resources for both Law Enforcement and Bagpipe Bands, all Honor Guards would benefit from the sharing of this information. The ultimate goal is to honor all fallen firefighters, EMS providers and law enforcement personnel and make sure that their memories and sacrifices are never forgotten.
